Daniel J. Kaufman, GGC President 2006-2013
As Georgia Gwinnett College’s charter president, Dr. Daniel J. Kaufman enthusiastically accepted what many believed to be the daunting challenge of building a new college from scratch – and not just any college, but one specially designed for student success, accessible to students of all levels of academic preparation, and a model for innovative approaches to higher education for the 21st Century. This institution’s success is a testament to his ability to engage community partners, recruit and motivate accomplished faculty and staff and strategically implement a growth plan that quickly formed a solid foundation for GGC’s continued growth and development. More importantly, Georgia Gwinnett will make a difference in the lives of students for many decades to come. Georgia Gwinnett College will forever stand as a legacy to Dr. Kaufman’s inspiring leadership, incredible vision and heartfelt dedication in serving the youth of Gwinnett, the State of Georgia, the nation and beyond.
